- Is the free plan a permanent free tier?
- It is one full season, free. Activation requires dates, covers up to four calendar months, and can be used once per organization. When it ends, your data stays readable and exportable while normal operations move to a paid plan.
- Who consumes a paid seat?
- Nobody. Plans belong to your organization, not to people. Coaches, parents, players, evaluators, and volunteers never consume paid seats — invite as many as your league needs.
- What does payment processing really cost?
- On Pro, families pay by card at 3.2% + 30¢ all-in — Stripe's processing plus our 0.3%. There are no per-registrant platform fees, no monthly minimums, and no markup games. Your league can also choose to pass the processing fee to families at checkout so the league keeps every dollar of its posted fees.
- Can a Community league collect registration fees?
- Yes — offline. Community leagues run registration with administrative approval and collect by cash, check, or any method they already use. Online card payments through the platform are a Pro feature.
- Are tournaments and playoffs extra?
- No. All eight tournament formats, the scheduler, live advancement, and hosted public brackets are part of every plan — the free season includes one tournament or playoff with up to eight entries, and Community and Pro run unlimited tournaments. There are no per-team or per-event software fees.
- What happens when a plan expires?
- Data remains readable and exportable, operating features become read-only, and the hosted public site becomes an archived historical view. A seven-day past-due grace period applies before any of that happens.
